Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA, was founded in 1812 and is a Private residential 4-year liberal arts college, one of the oldest in the United States. Lycoming enjoys a national Princeton Review ranking.
Drew Boyles, first approached Grey Fox Pottery in 2014 looking for some classy custom mugs for a ‘mug party’ at Homecoming in October. Alumni attending our Saturday night Oktoberfest event of homecoming were treated to gourmet hors d’oeuvres and a wide variety of beverages. Those paying an additional $5 received a Lycoming branded custom mug, which they could have filled throughout the evening, and then keep as a memento.

When we asked him why he chose Grey Fox Pottery’s custom mugs over other logo products, Drew stated, “I’m not sure how to compare these mugs to other items, simply because they are on such a different level. The quality, feel and look of the mugs are just amazing. We had alumni looking forward to homecoming for the stated reason that they wanted to receive their mug. The first year we offered the event, we actually reached capacity and sold out the number of mugs we had available. There were a number of people who truly wished they could have a mug, because they were so great. I certainly would recommend this type of item as worthy of consideration for any college or university looking for a fun way to “upgrade” an event. “
Lycoming came back to Grey Fox Pottery in 2015 year as the Oktoberfest themed Homecoming event was such a positive experience and everyone loved having a keepsake mug to take home. They may have started a new school tradition!
